Our Story
Union Recovery Services began with a simple idea: to help union members and their families when they needed it most. Born from Johnny Krump’s own journey through addiction, the organization grew from a unique partnership—a patient, a social worker, and a treatment owner—each bringing perspective, expertise, and heart. Together, Johnny, Katherine R. Gonzalez, and LCSW built a program rooted in trust, loyalty, and family, designed to fill the gaps in support, transportation, and resources for union members. Today, we’re more than a recovery service—we’re a community, a lifeline, and a place of hope for those on the path to lasting recovery
Our Mission
We believe that every union worker deserves access to compassionate, effective addiction treatment without fear of stigma or job loss. Our programs provide a safe and supportive space where union members can focus on recovery while maintaining the dignity and respect they’ve earned through their hard work.

Why We Focus on Union Workers
Union members often face workplace pressures, job-related injuries, and physically demanding conditions that can lead to substance use as a way to cope. Unfortunately, addiction can jeopardize careers, health, and personal relationships. That’s why we offer recovery programs tailored specifically to the needs of union workers—helping them achieve lasting sobriety while ensuring they receive the necessary support to return to work safely.
